Red,
I'll go there with you if you want. Don't want you to be by yourself.
Nelly, we'll corrupt you yet, if you stick around.

by ozziepost ineach week on h20 this poster from oz makes comment on the current week's watchtower study.
may i commence my postings here with this post that has appeared on h20 by not looking at a scriptural teaching (so called) but a teaching of the watchtower nonetheless.

Helping the Depressed Souls
by ISP inalthough christians as a whole rejoice in the lord, some among them suffer various forms of depression.
(philippians 4:4) severe mental depression is a serious emotional disorder that has even led to suicide.
at times, brain chemistry and other physical factors are involved.

Sorry, ISP, I thought you were seriously poking fun at the depressed souls, so I didn't find it very funny, and chose not to post a comment to it.
Me too! I had just read Logical's very serious, I want to die, post and the joke was lost on me.
Sorry, if meant to be funny, it was.

Frenchy,
I enjoyed that too. I am not real familiar with Hank's works. But the ones I have heard I really liked.
I like Willy Nelson too.
Thanks for sharing.

Prisca,
Hope you weren't joking?! A record is a round flat disc that required a turntable and an arm with a needle on it turning around on the record to make the sound come out. It turned on grooves on the disc.

Seven,
I love those two pieces by Patsy!!! I have been to a little place in WV that does kareoke (sp?) and there is a woman that does an awsome Patsy Cline. Always loved listening to her.
It amazes me that they wanted to change her voice. I didn't know that. Can't imagine why, it was beautiful.

Cool Quote Of The Day
by eyes_opened inhey, just read this on my start up page and thought it was cool.
have never heard of this guy before, but found this quote very thought provoking.. "la vida es duda, y la fe sin la duda es solo muerte.
" (life is doubt, and faith without doubt is nothing but death.

Eyes,
Kind of ties in with what my philosophy on life has been. If you stop thinking and questioning you die spiritually!!

'Changes That Disturb People' Awake 4/22/70
by ISP inone of the reasons is that people are disturbed by what is happening in their churches.
yes, millions of persons have been shocked to learn that things they were taught as being vital for salvation are now considered by their church to be wrong.
have you, too, felt discouragement, or even despair, because of what is happening in your church?

Excellent information, ISP. One of the many reasons why I am where I am at now.
"What's good for the goose is good for the gander" IMHO. Hard for me to understand why the JW's jump on the band wagon with other religions, but the same principle doesn't apply to them.
